Foodie Vacations – South Korea Food Adventure

Food is always a good reason to travel. Whether it is because of a grilled fish or spicy soup, tasting new delicacies will always excite us.

And what better way to travel abroad and enjoy new food than by going to South Korea. If you love spicy food, include this country in your list of foodie destinations. It is a very safe place for tourists and the locals are very accommodating and welcoming so there is no need to worry even if you are a solo traveller.

Here are some of the foods that you can try:

Ramyun

You can definitely buy South Korea’s famous Nong Shim or Jin Ramyun in your country. But to make it more different, add a slice of cheese on a bowl of a very hot Ramyun. Just put a slice of Kraft singles and the cheese will just melt and blend with the spicy soup, which will give that creamy texture just like a spicy mac and cheese.

Kimbap

Kimbap is a comfort Korean snack and is made of white rice, meat and vegetable rolled on dried seaweed. Although it may look like the Maki sushi rolls from Japan the ingredients in Kimbap are fully cooked mixed with sesame oil which makes the taste stronger and of course tasty and delicious.

Korean soup

Koreans have a lot of great soups and they are mostly packed with a lot of flavours. Most tourists who visit South Korea mostly appreciate the different tastes of these soups as they are very nutritious and comforting. Popular soups that you need to try are Doenjang Jjigae, Kimchi Jjigae, and Sundubu.
